The Temporary Exhibitions on Østergade 25
Jens Winther’s merchant’s residence on Østergade 25 – right in the middle of Rudkøbing’s pedestrian street – houses many of the museum’s temporary exhibitions.
The Garden
Walking through the building housing the temporary exhibitions, you will find a lovely garden – a reconstruction of the garden you would have found in the beginning of the 20th century. Here the Winthers drank their afternoon coffee and received afternoon guest. There is a pavilion for rainy days, boxwood hedges, perennial flowers and a wide variety of local roses growing on their own roots.
Take an hour out of your day, bring your own food and visit the garden of the Winther family.
